A hundred and thirty channels, half repeating each other.
SUMA reads your subscriptions and sends one summary by breakfast: only posts that did better than usual for their channel, with no copy-paste and no other people's roundups.
Built it for myself end to end: post collection, the ranking algorithm, the bot, the Mini App and a Mac app.
One morning, two feeds
The author's subscriptions after a cleanup: from three hundred down to a hundred and thirty- One piece of news about a release, then a wave of reposts with tiny variations.
- A big channel is always louder, even when it posts filler.
- Other people's roundups retell what was already in the feed.
A newspaper-style headline of the day, a few sections, and a link to the original post on every item. What gets in is whatever broke out of the ordinary for its own channel.
How SUMA decides what matters
A post's views are compared with its channel's median on a log scale, a z-score. A strong post from a small channel beats a filler post from a million-subscriber one.
A post's weight halves in about 18 hours: around 60% after 12 hours, 40% after a day. It never drops below 20%, so a strong post from yesterday doesn't vanish.
Every extra post from one channel is penalized. Other people's digests are dropped early, spotted by "week in review" headlines, bullet share, typical sections and a date in the title.
