Nothing in the contract obliges the customer to return the money: they can hold the 10% even after the warranty ends. Ready fix: repayment within 10 business days, with interest under Article 395 of the Civil Code for any delay.
How SVOD reads a contract
A 10% retention suits the customer and hurts the contractor. SVOD first asks which side you're on, then reads the contract the way the other side's lawyer would.
A model can't retype a 300,000-character contract in full. So it returns only the edits, and the server inserts them into your Word file itself.
The other side sent back their own version? SVOD checks it against your position and drafts counter-comments and a letter to their lawyer. And so on, until it's signed.
